Jack is here!
We delivered Jack on December 27, 2019 (yay for having him in 2019!!!!) at 38 weeks and 2 days. He was 6lbs and 0oz, 19.5 inches long. An itty bitty thing. Jim cut the cord, and I was so proud of him for not being squeamish, or passing out. On the first day in the hospital, we found out that Jack is Coombs positive. Further testing was done to check for jaundice and anemia. On the 2nd day, we found out he was jaundice. They put him under lights, and we were only allowed to take him out to feed and change him. 30 minutes at a time max. So basically, we couldn't hold our little boy. It sucked, not gonna lie. Obviously glad they treated him quickly for the Jaundice, and it cleared up before we were released from the hospital on the 30th of December. We have been home now about 5 days, and each day gets easier with our new routine of feeding, changing diapers, and sleeping. Jack had his 1 week doctor appointment yesterday, and did great!
